I agree with you, I just didn’t focus on that aspect in this post, because I already wrote about it in “Why AI sucks and how it can suck less”. I do kind of allude to it in the sentence “a lack of synthesis can lead to overly complicated, unscalable models”, but I guess to make it more clear I should have called the article “Deep learning is almost (part) of the brain”.
